It's hard to believe how long past those days are...and it really hit home the other night when Rob showed Maddie this Lawrence Welk skit from Saturday Night Live. It actually was late on Saturday night and she laughed SO hard and was so silly about re-enacting the skit the next day with her sisters. Very funny stuff, but it made me wonder--how has our life changed so much, so soon?

This ranks as an all-time favorite SNL skit of mine. Have you seen the other one they did? Oh man--those hands and that huge forehead are too much for me. I cried with laughter the first time I saw it--sooo happy you are introducing Maddie to such treasures :)
I was sitting here holding Finch when we listened to the original and he was dancing to the beat and loving it. I guess Lawrence appeals to little ones. Too funny.
The relationship for me and The Lawrence Welk show go way way back. My parents never missed an episode. They still never miss it. For their 50th Wedding Anniversary we made a DVD of pictures made to music and the last song was "GOOD NIGHT SLEEP TIGHT AND PLEASANT DREAMS FOR YOU". We blew bubbles at them while the song was on. It's and huge family tradition for us. It fun to know your family gets such a kick out of it.
I can't stop crying. no really....I'm sobbing now. that was sooooo funny. I can't wait to show seth.

Oh my gosh. I have a squirrel in my bed . . . that was just really , really funny. Charlie is asking me why I'm laughing at Dinosaur Train. Apparently he thinks that every time I'm on the computer, I'm checking out Dinosaur Train. Thanks for the post!

Where in the world did you get this one. I have never seen this and wondered who the girl was if it was a girl? I am a little behind the times because I never ever watch Sat. Night Dive( not a miss spell) but this was funny. Mom
